ज़्यादातर लोग इस part को ignore करते हैं। यहीं सबसे बड़ी गलती होती है।
Goods Train Manager पहली choice होनी चाहिए — 60% vacancies हैं, East Central Railway (Patna) में postings होती हैं, और city transfer कम है। Station Master attractive लगता है — ₹35,400 basic, Level 6 — लेकिन vacancies बहुत कम हैं। ऊपर से CBAT अलग से clear करना पड़ता है जो concentration और split-second decision-making test है, exam preparation से बिल्कुल अलग skill।

Station Master ₹35,400 basic pay देती है। सुनने में अच्छा लगता है। लेकिन vacancies कम हैं और CBAT अलग से qualify करना पड़ता है।
Goods Train Manager ₹29,200 basic pay देती है — Graduate की 60% vacancies यहाँ हैं। CBAT नहीं देनी। Selection probability कई गुना higher है।
5 साल बाद increment और promotion के बाद salary gap वैसे भी कम हो जाता है। जो Station Master first preference रखता है और Goods Train Manager तीसरे-चौथे में — वो अपना chance खुद घटाता है। Post preference vacancy देखकर भरो, salary देखकर नहीं।
